The Elusive Miss Lou is a genuinely rare thing: an Australian boutique eyewear brand born not from trend reports, but from creative restlessness. Louise Sceats -- designer, artist, and former optical industry professional -- retired to the seaside at the end of 2018, lasted about five minutes, and started designing. Her son Teiger handles the business. Together they bring 15 years of optical fashion experience to every pair they make.
The frames are handmade. Bold sculptural shapes covered in explosive patterns: tartan, abstract mosaic, deep marbled tones, psychedelic colour combinations. Every design is limited to just 75 fabric pieces or 40 solid colour pieces worldwide. When they're gone, they're gone.
Design runs deep in this family. Louise's husband Jonathan Hennessy Sceats is a member of the Design Institute of Australia Hall of Fame. These aren't just glasses. They're wearable art from people who understand exactly what that means.
